Homepage Sketch
Sketched in Procreate on iPad using Apple Pencil
I had wanted a sketch of myself for the homepage of this site, and initially thought I could use AI to create a high quality sketch in a pen and ink style. Unfortunately, while the quality was ok, the sketches looked nothing like me! I decide to use my artistic skills to adapt a photo I’d taken, producing a unique and personal image that helps this website stand out.

ChatGPT's attempts to create sketch based on the photo. Close, but not cigar!
I knocked back transparency on the photo, outlining the edges and darkest areas.
I then used cross hatching to add more detail and shadows.
Finally, I added further shading, adding to the shadows and bringing out more highlights.
